@highaltitudehouseplants: Starting out growing houseplants can feel like drinking from a fire hose, but by putting some intention behind how you learn and grow, you can make that learning journey much easier and happen much quicker. Here are some of the main subjects I have tried to learn and grow in one at a time: 1. What is the right substrate for me? 2. Grow lights 3. Humidity 4. Airflow 5. Fertilizer 6. Temperature 7. Moss poles 8. Deep diving into specific plants or groups, for example: velvet philodendron, crawling philodendron, variegated plants #plantcaretips #aroids #houseplants #plantcare #plants
I’m actively struggling with my moss poles and keeping them damp 🫠 I only have two pots (3 plants technically) but it’s insane

Some of my plants are more than 10 years old… however recently I started collecting cuttings of plants that are slightly less common in stores.

As an avid plant collector, I began my journey with orchids and still have about 40 in my collection 🥰 learning about orchid care and learning about the environment that they thrive in were insanely helpful in allowing me to replicate those conditions in my home. I also tried to find things that would thrive outdoors in my zone (9) so that I knew what I could grow outdoors most easily without much effort. Books and articles were second for me to YouTube videos (missorchidgirl) and allowed me to branch out and view other creators content like yours!

I started mine in Feb! My plan is to fill this whole room. Just started a propagation wall shelf. I don’t know how, but my alocasia, and calathea are thriving. Love watching your videos. 🥰

Do you have any info on a monstera Burle Marx Flame? I just got one from Lowe’s (I have other monsteras) I’d love a deep dive care guide if you have knowledge for them? Thanks!

todo es paciencia y aprender a "leerlas" con esa paciencia ves los resultados y la verdad es muy gratificante cuando ves como crecen o se multiplican 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

I was wondering this about you… it’s crazy you have a video for it. I’m guessing ppl ask a lot 🤔 I’m a helicopter parent like you so I’ve been using more airy mix and that’s helping me not kill them from overwatering/root rot so thank you!!
