Plus, the law caps tax-free tips at $25,000, so you're still paying full taxes on everything above that. Most likely, people are confusing their total tip income with their actual tax savings.

I don’t get tips. Where is my tax break? Instead of giving tax breaks to certain types of jobs why not give tax breaks to certain levels of income. Some people are making 6 figures and get tips.
