@marbieskitchen: For years I have loved food that is uncomplicated and for some reason I think I’ve been as ashamed of that. Somewhere along the line I convinced myself that in order for food to be high-quality and appreciated by those in the culinary world, then it needs to be complicated and time-consuming. Lately I’ve started to really embrace the fact that I love food that is simple, food that doesn’t need to be watched for hours and hours but you can kind of just leave to do its own thing. Flavours that are dependable and feel like a warm, comforting hug. I especially love this when I’m hosting people because the food feels familiar and it doesn’t require me to expend tons of energy during the prep. So I thought I would start to share some of my favourites fuss-free dishes with you. Now I know that the perspective on whether a dishes complicated or not will vary from person to person depending on skill and experience but hopefully you find something in these recipes that you can enjoy cooking over the next few weeks. Welcome to food for feasting! My new weekly series where I can share simple, uncomplicated but utterly delicious recipe recipes with you for your gatherings, dinner parties, or even just your weekly meals.
