I have small cell lung cancer and I would love to start dating but, I just feel like it is a lot for someone to take on that you are trying to get to know. If the right person comes along, great and if not that is ok too! I decided instead of dating I wanted to go back to school instead. We are starting there 🤭

I hated a lot of those comments on that video. You have every right to pursue romantic connection. You were forthcoming about the cancer. The people you go out with are adults and can make their own decisions about dating or not dating you given the circumstances. And there are people out there who will love and appreciate you exactly as you are right now. It’s your decision either way.

That’s something I’ve had to remind myself a lot because I am to comfortable with settling for bare minimum when I should be aiming for better. I was single when I started my cancer journey, and fairly hopeless about finding love after being diagnosed. I found my life partner almost a year after my original diagnosis and about 6 months after dating him I had a recurrence. It is so cliche and corny but for the right person it won’t be too much. That person will ride any wave of life with you and that person is out there for you. But your feelings at this moment are totally valid, it is so hard 🩷

I have ovarian failure, basically all my eggs died when I was 21. It does add a layer of stress dating someone new and having to tell them. I do believe it wont matter to the right person. But its hard. Thinking of you

my oncologist really does not talk to me about anything except what my scans say. I find them so cold. but I'm 70. as a young woman they should have someone to discuss all this with you. I see how you are hurting and struggling with all of this. my gyn has been more understanding than the oncologist.

I have a friend that went through horrible chemo. He has a son now that he couldn’t deny if he wanted. God decides if we have babies! You know there are guys going through cancer that would love to date also. Is there in cancer dating sites? Check into that!
