@theasherhouse: After my recent Tacoma Humane visit, I Iearned that there is some controversy regarding the shelter and its ethics. At The Asher House, we’ve worked alongside the The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County for many years and have seen firsthand the care and commitment their team brings to the animals they serve. This work isn’t easy. Shelters across our region are stretched beyond capacity, and the need continues to grow. But what stands out is the dedication of their staff and volunteers, who show up for animals every single day. We believe concerns should always be taken seriously, and we also believe it’s important to recognize the work being done on the ground. We’re proud to partner with and support the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County. Spending your time as a keyboard warrior trying to hurt an animal shelter is not doing the dogs any justice. Online criticism in the animal rescue community only hurts the animals. If you really want to make a difference then volunteer, foster, adopt, start an animal rescue, start an animal sanctuary, start an animal shelter. Do something productive. Please follow and support @Tacoma Humane . This one is not only for Tacoma. This is for all of the animal rescues and shelters that have to deal with this nonsense on a daily basis. ❤️
