use a Swiffer mop for walls I'm sure it can help with ceilings as well as long as it's not too stuck on there but it definitely helps

fyi I use a putty knife in my kitchen to help clean off the gunk, edging or super stuck spots. I had a friend who used it and I was absolutely shocked at how well it works
