@aquanest.swimming: Drowning is silent. It is quick. And it rarely looks dramatic. There is no splashing. No shouting. Often, it looks like a child trying to breathe. Vertical in the water. Head tilted back. Mouth at water level. No movement towards safety. And it can happen in seconds. Most parents believe they would notice immediately. But the truth is - unless you know the signs, you might not. Water safety begins with awareness. And awareness begins with education. Did you know these signs? Comment "SAFE" if this information is new to you, or share this reel with another parent who needs to see it. Old lifeguard, here, I started noticing when he started walking from the shallow to the deep end. You can always pick them up when you're scanning. I would usually tell them to turn around. I don't like having to jump in if I don't have to. But I will.
