I drive a paid off 2018 Toyota Corolla LE. I got it brand new and I bought it after working 3 years as a caregiver for children with disabilities, I saved from 18-21. I got it during a holiday sale where there was no down payment and I bought it instead of doing a loan, also traded in my car. I paid $345 a month and all the maintenance was covered until I paid it off. It’s also a solid car that doesn’t need a ton of maintenance. My gas was also covered by my jobs because I did a lot of driving. Now do I want a bigger, hybrid car with more stuff, yes! But that’ll come in time when I have more flexibility in my finances and more money to put in a separate account.
