i played corner in college BUT try backpedaling and reacting to a WR that runs a 4.4 40 while not holding or illegal contact. Zone having to know all your responsibilities is insane. And if you fail, you get scored on. That’s the only position where getting beat is an automatic touchdown, whether on passing downs or running downs. Lose outside contain and it’s to the house

I get his argument, but I’d say they’re both hardest for different reasons. QB is hardest mentally; have to memorize the whole playbook, read defense pre and post snap, make adjustments, know every other players routes and assignments, etc. CB is the hardest physically cause no matter what you do, you’re still having to cover and try to stop Justin Jefferson, Ceedee Lamb, AJ Brown, Jamar Chase etc.

cant the same argument be made for middle linebacker as quarterback? they have to account for before and after every snap too. granted depending on the linebacker but sometimes they have to drop into coverage like a corner or safety, sometimes they have to rush the quarterback like a d end, sometimes they have to track angles to be able to track down or stop a run. a good middle linebacker is gonna need to know what plays are likely to be ran based off formation or where certain players are lining up. they have to know every other players responsibility as well. Basically being the quarterback of the defense. so I think if you wanna say mentally, then it should be between quarterback and middle linebacker. if you wanna say skillfully, then I think its cornerback. but if you wanna go physically, I would say linemen, either offense or defense, or if you wanted to be more specific then I would say center cause they got their own calls and adjustments they gotta make at the line, snap that ball at least good enough to give the qb a chance, and still block some huge human beings trying to go thru them. but thats just my opinion
