@travelingrosas: 🇹🇭The Grand Palace, Bangkok, Thailand🇹🇭 Nothing quite prepares you for this place. You turn a corner and suddenly you are standing in front of gold spires, mosaic towers, and murals that cover every wall. Built in 1782, this was the official home of the Kings of Siam for over 150 years and it remains one of the most sacred sites in all of Thailand. If this is your first time, here is everything you need before you go. Address: Na Phra Lan Road, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200 Hours: Open daily 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Last entry is typically around 2:30 PM. Arrive right at opening to avoid the worst of the crowds and the midday heat. Entry fee: 500 THB per person (about $15 USD). This includes access to the palace grounds, Wat Phra Kaew (the Temple of the Emerald Buddha), and the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles. Audio guides in English and several other languages are available for an additional 100 THB. Children under 12 enter free. Dress code: This is strictly enforced and they will turn you away at the gate. Shoulders and knees must be covered. No sleeveless tops, crop tops, short skirts, shorts, or ripped clothing. Cover-up clothing can be rented near the entrance but it slows down your entry. Save yourself the hassle and plan your outfit in advance. Long linen pants or a maxi dress work perfectly. Do not miss inside: The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) is Thailand’s most sacred temple and houses a jade Buddha statue that has its seasonal robes changed by the King himself. Photography is allowed in outdoor areas only. No photos are permitted inside any buildings within the complex. #thailand #bangkok #travel #itinerary #guide

Hi! I was unaware of the ankles part 😳 so a long dress wouldn’t be appropriate? And no sandals?
