@bmorgan190: 80% of acupuncture points map directly onto fascial planes in the body. A western anatomist mapped the body’s fascial lines from western anatomy textbooks alone… and ended up in the same place as a 3000 year old Chinese medicine map. They called it energy, we call it fascia, but they were mapping the same system the whole time. #fascia #meridians #chinesemedicine #acupuncture #energy

So I guess my question is that when I think of Fascia I think of cellulite and fascia release. So I understand cellulite to maybe be tight fascia so in theory would acupuncture potentially help ease/release fascia and therefore lessen cellulite?

Soooo our “Qi” is basically just the fascia in our body!? Because our fascia is connected to our nervous system and every other system in our bodies… and holds emotional/mental trauma… as well as physical… my mind is blown

I’m doing my doctorate in Chinese medicine and one of my papers for pain management was about this directly. And the act of needling directly effects the nociceptors in the fascia

I went to acupuncture once a week for a bit, but they told me it would have to be twice a week in order for it to work. I couldn’t afford it so I stopped altogether. 🫤

I know acupuncture is great…I have panic attacks when I get it done because I can feel my muscles relax…and I’ve been in a state of fight or flight my entire life- it scares me to feel relaxed- like really scares me. I’m working on it with somatic movement - I’d love to go back to doing acupuncture

My pain management doctor wanted me to get acupuncture specifically because it targets fascia.

Do you think fascia is what is responding to reiki energy or subtle energies in healing touch therapy?

I am currently undergoing care for an injury, and that includes acupuncture. I have noticed that different points respond differently at each session. It makes sense that the interconnectedness would allow for that. So very interesting!!

I have a sense of how they did this without imaging or dissection. The way the pain radiates whe I push on tender places tells me where adhesions are sticking elsewhere in the same tissue.
