You shouldn’t rely on basic starter kits alone. Instead, look into ESP boards that cost about the same but are significantly more powerful and capable. They’ll give you way more flexibility and performance for your projects. A smarter approach is to buy only the useful parts from starter kits and then build your setup around them by adding the real essentials over time. From experience, it’s easy to get excited by the components but forget the tools that actually matter like a multimeter, soldering iron, flux, solder, and especially proper jumper wires (male-to-male, female-to-female, etc.). Most importantly, learn to code and understand what you’re doing first. Don’t depend on AI generated code or random snippets from the internet, you’ll progress much faster if you actually understand the logic behind it.

Ultra sensor has short range but still cool. Maybe replace with PIR sensor? Works differently but range it better. Maybe something else would be better? Not sure
