make sure you neutralize the acid or it will re rust from residual acid in the metal

Tip if you need this much vinegar again: Find 30% concentrated cleaning vinegar and dilute it to what you need. One 30% is like 6 regular jugs of vinegar and costs about the same or even a few dollars less 😁

Took my is300s tank to a place that cleans tanks. $108 for the cleaning and only took a day. A lot better than me spending hours and a lot of vinegar

Check out Rusty’s video he did with a motorcycle gas tank. Filled it with bb’s and put it on some type of tumbler for a while. Inside was shiny.

Electrolysis also works great on rusty parts, its easy to set up and doesnt harm the metal

Probably should have power washed and deep cleaned the outside of the tank before you opened up all those holes you are just going to blow all that dirt inside it

If you haven’t already emptied it out, add a 26oz thing of iodized salt to it. That salt and vinegar work better together and remove rust. Did this myself a few years ago on a build I needed rust gone.
