This information is so beneficial in at least three ways: it provides supportive information to the entity assisting the victim of coercive control of the clear and present danger, it supports and justifies the fear experienced by the victim that is beyond hard to articulate, and it provides insight to those less knowledge about the trajectory of this form of abuse. Those benefits allows all groups to move to the next, most important stage which is protecting the welfare of the victims.

A lot of states are getting better at recognizing coercive control, so look for that as well. In my state, it is now recognized as an abuse that is worthy of civil protections (protective orders and such)
