It’s not even about the passion anymore. For a lot of people, it’s purely about the money, and anyone claiming otherwise is kidding themselves. These conventions and card shows aren’t packed with people chasing the hobby as a whole, they’re chasing holos, chase cards, and god packs. The focus has shifted from collecting for the love of it to hunting for the next big payday.
