My new inventory home in Sunterra my home inspector found 61 items that needed to be fixed. One of the items he found was the primary bedroom did not have insulation in the ceiling that was at back of house. Best money I ever spent I also paid for him to reinspect I asked to make sure they did everything they were supposed to do

still, as a builder, you are responsible your product, or you failed by choosing the wrong g crew that should have known better.

the insulation should have been done before the duct work was installed and batt insulation is better it's far less messy .

Nope. You should always have your own third party inspector.

it ain't right, but how do you suppose someone safely put insulation there? where should they have hung the duct work? The problem with inspectors isn't that they point stuff out, its that you have no experience installing anything so you don't know what you're looking at. that duct was there weeks before insulation was added to the attic. Safety first m8.

Thermal has such great uses. have found plenty of issues as an hvac guy. used one to see that an evap coil wasnt exchanging heat properly by showing hot and cold spots on the coil. have found supply vents drywall'd over during new construction. air leakage around duct connections causing condensation and other issues. so many uses

It SHOULD be right, and their inspector SHOULD notify them and you of any problems. Your 3rd party inspector YOU pay for WILL inform you.
