lie you a tell,false news, we plant the whole potatoes in Jamaica and the yield is always very high,plus it wouldn't be wise to cut the small ones either...potatoes give great yield even when they are planted whole!!

What a load shite, seed potatoes are generally the size of a small hens egg, if yer planting full size potatoes it's obvious that's the shoots are going to fighting for nutrition, to stop them growing out of the ground ya till the soil up onto it
