Please be understanding of the family. You as a nurse are our main point of contact with what is happening. I’m very grateful for my nurses when my gma was dying. The dr wouldn’t tell me anything but our nurses always kept us updated and informed ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹

Also never be afraid to call security even if nothing has happened yet. Better for security to be on standby and nothing happens than it is to have security show up a few minutes after something already has.

Damn I've always worked in placed with random assignments 😅 It was never based on patient acuity, it's a preselected section of beds and on the floors you keep the same section for a week and switch to another one.
