I don’t know if there are La Quinta hotels by you but I used to stay in them when I traveled w my dog bc they didn’t charge extra. They were usually pretty decent, safe and free breakfast for a good price. Also you should look into rewards and try to earn points to use, or if you have AAA for your car you can get hotel discounts.
