@homesteadonpurpose_: One of the main things we use our freeze dryer for? 🥚🥚🥚 When we have an abundance, we don’t just use them—we preserve them for when we don’t—and our hens are happily laying a couple dozen a day! 🙌🏻 🍳 HOW TO FREEZE DRY EGGS → Crack eggs into a bowl + blend well → Pour into trays (thin, even layer) → Freeze dry until completely dry + crumbly → Blend into a powder 🫙 HOW TO STORE → Transfer to airtight jars → Add oxygen absorber (for long-term storage) → Keep in a cool, dark place ✨️ HELPFUL TIPS → 16 eggs fit on each freeze dryer tray → 6 trays of freeze dried eggs fit into 1 gallon jar Done right, they’ll store for the long haul and be ready whenever you need them.
