@vveatss: One of the few crowds/lines well worth it imo. I can’t believe I caught him eating a wormmmmm 🥺 The American woodcock makes a little pitstop in nyc every spring as part of its migration patterns — and bryant park is on the itinerary. Catch it while it’s here because its little bobbing walk is too adorable. This bird winters down in the gulf coast and migrates north at night, flying solo at low altitudes, sometimes as slow as 5 mph, holding the record for the slowest flight speed ever recorded for a bird. Despite its slow speed, it’s a fairly high point card in wingspan 😎. It’s also nicknamed the meep bird for the cute little meep noise it makes! #americanwoodcock #scolopaxminor #bryantpark #nycwildlife #birdmigration springmigration birdwatching nyc urbanwildlife birdsofinstagram nycbirds timberdoodle
