Miami will never do it but they are best trading away their best players and restarting. Even if they trade for Giannis they won’t be good enough to be a top contender. The supporting cast around Giannis and Bam won’t be good enough.

Has to be Giannis as no other FA/available trade offers meaningful move out of play-in. Heat will be -$150MM with him, Bam, Jovic and others. If no Powell, then they have $30-40MM spend depending on tax appetite.

The Miami package is not impressive. I don’t see what y’all see. Yes they are young guys but how much is that is this amazing heat system. Rarely do guys leave Miami and stay productive. We are being forced like they use to do with the lakers(specifically Kuzma) into saying these are amazing young talents. (Ironically every guy but Kuzma was a valid talent on winning teams). Not if Miami gets a top 3 pick…. That turns conversations around. It would have to be the same package plus that pick.
