I did go after the rains and had a blast wading in the water. The deepest it got was knee high and that was only one crossing - the rest were above the ankles or lower. Took some friends that I didn't warn about the water crossings and they tried to find alternate ways at the first crossing. I told them give it up and decide to get wet or we just turn around and leave. They got wet and we had fun. Just have good shoes. It's not like Bridge to nowhere, there are so many rocks, trees, shrubbery to slow the water down so it never felt dangerous to cross. definitely take extra socks and shoes for the drive home.
