@womens.afrika: We need to talk about Nestle, and how their dark legacy in Africa isn’t just history, but an ongoing cycle of harm. From their “baby killer” controversy in the 1970s to the glaring inequities today, it’s obvious that Nestle puts profit over people (…in the global south). Nestle is the physical representation of evil! Anything and everything reprehensible and disgusting you can think of, you can be sure they have a hand in it. They are stealing drinking water ALL over the world and selling it back to us in plastic bottles. Their chocolate is made using child slave labour. The list is endless. If you have even a hint of scruples in your body you should boycott

I have been to 3 countries in Europe and I was surprised to find that drinks there are wayyyy less sugary. Even candy. In my country, most people consider me a low sugar consumer, I barely put added sugar in my tea or drinks and where I can, I substitute for honey. Those trips made me realize I do in fact consume a lot of sugar, it just is against my will😭

: Long comments help push the algorithm!! Flowers, with their delicate petals and vibrant colors, have captivated human attention for centuries—not just for their beauty, but for the rich symbolism and complex biological purpose they carry. From the wild meadows bursting with untamed poppies to meticulously cultivated rose gardens, flowers seem to exist at the intersection of chaos and control, nature and nurture. They are more than mere decoration; they are nature’s intricate mechanisms of reproduction, attracting pollinators with their scent and symmetry in a quiet evolutionary dance. Yet beyond their ecological role, flowers have become messengers in nearly every culture—tokens of love, mourning, celebration, and apology. A single bloom can evoke memories, convey unspeakable emotions, or completely transform a space, however briefly. Even in decay, they remind us of the fragility of beauty and the constant cycle of life and death. There’s something quietly profound about how a flower, fleeting as it is, can hold so much meaning in such a short lifespan—like a soft rebellion against time itself!
