What was just an idea in the back of my head for the past couple of years finally became a reality today. This is just the beginning of Project Bright Haven. My goal is to eventually register it as a charity or CIC and help as many families as possible across the country. After seeing the reaction from this family, I’m more determined than ever to make that happen. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this project possible: @eecarpetsflooring for travelling over 200 miles to supply and fit the carpets. @stagemyhomelimited for kindly supplying all of the living room furniture. @ipro_electrical for donating their time, supplying and fitting brand new sockets and switches, and making sure everything was safe and up to standard. @heyhandyman for giving up his time to help assemble all the furniture. @beissier_uk for providing the skim compound used throughout the project. Kristian Neale, who single-handedly repaired the living room ceiling, lined the walls and completely transformed the space. Your hard work, skill and dedication played a huge part in making this project a success. @mudplugz and Kevin, who believed in this project from the very beginning. Although the plugs weren’t needed on this particular project, your positivity, encouragement and support helped keep me going when this was still just an idea in my head. And a very special thank you to my wife Aline, who put up with me spending pretty much every evening for the last month on my phone planning this project and making it all come together. Finally, thank you to everyone who donated, shared a post, offered help, or simply believed in this idea from day one. Every single contribution, no matter how big or small, helped make this possible. This project reminded me that there are still some truly amazing people in this world.
