One thing I never understood was if Lucifer was evil why would he punish those that are wicked for all eternity? To me Lucifer has always seemed more of a warden and administer of justice

So we must all suffer because eve ate the apple, but god made her and the apple knowing she would eat it therefore knew his creations would suffer. So…why didnt he just not make the apple?

it goes much farther than just lucifer. God is most commonly described as being all knowing, all powerfully, and morally good. but it is impossible for him to be all three. if he is all powerfully and all knowing he can't be good because he knows every bad thing that will ever happen, has the power to stop it, and chooses not to. if he is all powerful and good then he can't be all knowing, otherwise he would know everything bad and stop it. if he is all knowing and good he cannot be all powerfully otherwise he would know all the bad and be capable of fixing it

why would he create humans if he is perfect as surely being perfect would mean no state is preferable meaning he created humans for no reason at all with the knowledge we would suffer, and cause suffering

i’ll answer this as a religious person who has a rocky relationship with it internally, and this is my first time articulating it. Ive thought about this alot and the conclusion is he created lucifer to balance out good, if the sky wasnt cloudy and it was sunny n hot every day you would think it was boring and unbearable. Yes he foresaw and allowed it, but God also knows satans reign is over soon. God bless not forcing religion but think of it as ‘i hope ur well’

God’s omnisience doesnt mean He causes evil, since knowing that Lucifer would rebel is not the same as making him rebel. Instead, Lucifer is responsible for his own choice. God created angels with true free will, which includes the possibility of rejecting Him, and that without this freedom, genuine love and moral responsibility would cease to exist. In this view, evil is not something God created as a thing, but more so a corruption or absence of good that results when a free being turns away from God.
