This is the hardest thing about customer service. People talk to you like sh** and you have to carry on with the next one. Everyone should have to do a year in customer service IMO so people realise how difficult it is and owe respect. Great video x

I have to show up to my customer service job every single day at the moment while reliving my mums last moments in my head after she passed unexpectedly, I am ALWAYS polite and will say hello/please/thank you, but how people treat me when I still can't bring myself to smile and joke around like I used to is to upsetting. Makes me not want to bother showing up, because giving 100% I can give right now isn't palatable to people. Thank you so much for your kindness and compassion to that young lady, you're a wonderful person 💕

thank you so much for this video. As someone who is Audhd and works in a customer facing role I really resonate with this. I’d like to think that 95% of the time I’m my bubbly best self but there is that 5% where the mask slips and I’m running on empty. Knowing that there are people out there that understand that we are all human and might just be feeling the funk is really heartwarming 💖

As someone who works retail, thank you. We can’t pay our bills, we are understaffed we are in survival mode. It’s really not what we want, rather what we’re forced to deal with.

You did exactly the right thing. I’ve been in sales and customer service industry for over 35 years and I can tell you now, the best response is to be overly polite, and yes pause. That gives them a chance to reflect. However if you came to my counter or desk,your face with that smile will always make me give you customer service in elite form. You’re a lovely young lady with good morals and you have the lord protecting you. You have an aura that shows me you’re genuine. Love is kind

I totally get this 🙏 working on customer service is absolutely exhausting….. you can have 9 amazing customers and then 1 absolutely shitty rude person who can change your mood …. And then you have to bounce back straight away to the next customer…. I really appreciate this post ❤️everyone needs to work in customer service at least once… they will then understand

As someone who’s worked in retail for 15 years I can honestly say this story moved me so much 💜 The amount of overwhelming pressure you have to deal with sometimes doesn’t give you any chance to breathe or calm down between shitty interactions so for you to approach with such compassion would have been so incredibly impactful for her 🌿 We need more people like you in the world ✨

This actually made me cry, because sometimes in retail and hospitality customer facing jobs in general you can be made to feel very uncomfortable in the environment you have to work in and then it’s okay so I feel so lovely inside about myself and you try your absolute hardest not to project it onto people, but sometimes it’s just nature and it can’t happen if you’re in a terrible mood whether it had been like the customer prior or management issue we’ve always try. Thank you for giving people grace. This really reminded me that some of us are and human this really made my day.
