What a great question. The last time I was traveling, I noticed a woman that was in the hotel lobby by herself every evening, having a glass of wine and reading. She was reading The Lincoln Highway, which I was unfamiliar with. But one night, I sat down and started talking to her because I was just fascinated by her spending her vacation this way. When I asked her about the book she was reading, she told me that the same author wrote A Gentleman in Moscow, which is one of my all-time favorite books. So we had a lovely conversation about books and life and vacations and travel, and it was just a beautiful experience. Thank you for this question and for bringing up that memory for me.

Any outlander series book bc I know it’s not for everyone and if your reading it you probably love it as much as I do. Also, one of my favorite books is The Murmur of Bees… I never hear anyone talk about it and I think it’s perfection. The audio version of both outlander and murmur of bees is fantastic.

I did this just recently.. I was having lunch with a friend and a woman at the table next to us was reading the house in the cerulean sea. I had to tell her how much I loved it which led to a long convo about it. Great book.
