Setting boundaries/distancing yourself from siblings that grew up in the same struggle and are repeating the cycle you broke out of is definitely hard. Personally have feelings of guilt here and there, feeling like I’ve left them behind in a sense. As much as I want them to succeed, I’ve also learned to accept that they are adults making their own decisions just as I’ve made mine.

I’m the oldest of 5. I’ve helped all of my siblings and they all turned their backs or mistreated me. It was the hardest pill to swallow, but in the words of Teddy P “It don’t hurt now” 💯❤️💯

My siblings betrayed me more than anybody else in my life. Seems to cut the deepest. Best thing for my mental health was stepping away as much as it all hurts bc they are the ones I loved the most. 😔
