@c5news: “Where could she have been going?” CCTV footage reveals the last sightings of Vitoria Figueiredo Barreto in Brightlingsea in Essex, who was reported missing on Wednesday 4 March. The 30-year-old Brazilian psychologist was seen boarding the number 89 bus from Colchester to Brightlingsea on 3 March. She was then reportedly captured on CCTV between Back Waterside Lane and Mill Street. On 4 March at 00:16, someone suspected of being Barreto was filmed on CCTV jumping over a fence into a boatyard. Essex Police believes Vitoria may have taken a boat from a yard in Brightlingsea that same day, which was later found adrift. Her partner, Janilson, travelled over from Brazil the day after she disappeared, and has told 5 News: “This is not the usual thing from Vitoria. I am concerned about her life.” The last person to have contact with Vitoria was her close friend, Liliane, who told us: “It’s a nightmare… How could she survive this long?” Her bag and laptop and bag have since been found along the route of where she was last seen. Police are continuing to work with international investigators to get access to her phone and financial data as they seek vital new details about where Vitoria might possibly be.
