The American lean is bc we never have time to sit down, a lot of people work labor intensive jobs or rarely see a chair, it’s a way to give other body parts a break 😭

It’s because probably 80% of our population works a job that they have to be on their feet for 8 to 16 hours depending on the job every day Monday through Friday and half of those people work on the weekends so when we have an opportunity to relax we do.

Water is anywhere from 3-5$ in different places, for a single bottle. So no, its not an "ownership" thing with the size of the bottle, I sincerely dont have the money to waste.

I think the water difference is us Americans like cold drinks with ice. Bottle of water cost more and it gets warm.

i have a metal bottle that I can fill for free at gas stations or have a waitress fill FOR FREE! And it does not waste plastic. I drink a gallon of water a day

I think the lean thing has been learned over time since it became a standard for workers to not be allowed to ever sit at work except for the 30 minute break we get. Its the only way we can relieve pressure off our legs. Its not normal for our bodies to be constantly standing for 8 or more continuous hours every day. We develop habits to cope and that ends up being learned by our kids.

1st off, most of America is easily 10° hotter than Germany. and at least half of the country is 20° hotter. dehydration is a serious concern. our solution is to always have water at hand. preferably in a refillable container.

we lean cause sometime it relief a pain in the area, or to relax after long day, we dont have chairs everywhere. also leaning helps humans feel more stable while focused.
