@goliathliftzz: In 1981, Franco Columbu won one of the most controversial titles in bodybuilding history. Just a few years earlier, he suffered a devastating injury during the World’s Strongest Man competition. While carrying a refrigerator on his back, he slipped and severely injured his knee. The damage was so serious that his lower body never fully recovered — leaving his legs visibly smaller, asymmetrical, and far from his prime condition. Despite that, he returned to the Mr. Olympia stage. Standing next to him was Tom Platz, known for having some of the greatest legs ever seen in bodybuilding. When the results were announced, Franco was crowned champion. The reaction was immediate. Boos filled the venue — so loud that parts of the broadcast had to be edited. This came just one year after the 1980 Mr. Olympia, another highly debated result where Arnold Schwarzenegger returned and won under controversial circumstances. Some saw it as respect for a legend. Others saw something else. What’s your take? #francocolumbu #tomplatz #mrolympia #bodybuildinghistory #goliathliftzz
