@police2471: Even the smartest among us aren't immune to lapses in judgment behind the wheel. It’s a jarring reality check when a doctor—someone trained to save lives—finds themselves on the wrong side of a speeding ticket. This perspective highlights that dangerous driving often isn't about arrogance or intentional recklessness, but rather a momentary loss of focus compounded by the false sense of security we feel inside our vehicles. When the mind is preoccupied, the road becomes secondary, and that’s exactly when the unthinkable happens. A powerful reminder that no one is above the rules of the road, and sometimes, even the most capable people need a stark wake-up call to keep everyone safe. #RoadSafety #TrafficPolice #DrivingTips #Accountability #RealityCheck
I would be interested in seeing the percentage of active (and retired or ex-) police officers who have had traffic citations. I've got three points in 45 years of driving. I believe I'm a good driver and my record reflects that but EVERYONE goes over the limit at certain times and I suspect that includes those in uniform when off-duty.
