This is how those of us living in Southeast Alaska travel back & forth to the lower 48. It’s a beautiful trip, and is similar in cost to airfare. Also, some of these ferries now have starlink. They also have a little movie theater that shows documentaries about Alaska. If you wanna take an Alaskan cruise but don’t care about all the night life, take the AMH instead! It’s so important for our local economy that the ferry is full & in continual service💕

When I took this ferry to move to Alaska, the seas were as smooth as glass. Beautiful trip all the way.

My family of 4 did this trip last year(May ‘25) and absolutely loved it. Lots of wildlife and a couple stops were great. Yes, there was WiFi on the ferry. Food was decent. We weren’t there for cruise buffets. Scenery will blow your mind.
