They shouldn’t even let you tip until after - I tip before because I want my shit picked up but I’ll adjust it if the service is bad. Drivers should provide good service hoping someone tips later

I feel like tip should be added when the order is complete. Not "up for grabs" up front. Your tip depends on your service and effort.

Ive not worked for door dash specifically, it was instacart but I can tell you that we got paid at least from instacart on the actual job regardless of the tip. The extra five or six dollsrs hit and it felt good but its not like if I didn’t get a tip I wouldn’t get paid for the job. This is just ridiculous escalation

as a door dash driver. we can see the total we are being offered. they could've easily declined to pick up the order and let the next dasher take it. tf?! I'm so sorry this happened that's terrifying!

You don’t have to tip if you don’t want to. Also DoorDash drivers have a choice. They don’t have to accept.

As someone who has cash tipped before I leave a note on the order “Cash tip” I have been cussed out several times for no tip on the app.
