It’s not fully about religion/Christianity, some of us grew up with sex being taboo, certain colors being labeled as “grown”, not being taught female anatomy let alone how to be a female, my sister and I would get beat if we shaved cause it’s “grown” and “who you shaving for”. Couldn’t wear red cause it was a “grown” color, got called “fast” at anything and everything. But it was real bad due growing up with your mom who was a teen mom when she had my sister and for my aunts to be teen moms then my sister to be a teen mom. They do this thinking that the less knowledge you have on sex, the less likely you’ll do it or even know about sex
