Layed sandstone for years before all this primer bullshit never lifted. The slabs porous and sticking to the mortar not the bed. The beds irrelevant. If the gears wet sandstone will stick

The mot is stuck to the muck so that isn’t anything to do with any adhesion to slab 😂

I’m retired now, but we never used to used primers on York, sandstones or concrete slabs. Not sure if these all are unnecessary overkill to some kind of substitute for lack of skill and knowledge, admittedly I’ve never laid porcelain.

That’s a stupid test. The point of priming the bag of the slab is to stop the stain of the cement coming through.

I don’t understand why your talking about the size of the bed when you lifted it? That’s to do with your mix grabbing and adhering to the MOT and yes primer does give you reassurance in the long run but the water based is still solid so it hasn’t necessarily failed.

I use SBR and cement but mate come on, with the infill aswell, Indian sandstone needs nothing. You’ve literally proven it. Takes you throwing it on the ground for it to come away 🤣
