my take is that if you hate Ashley and think she's annoying youre probably just not very good at the game. ive seen so many people say like "oh she's constantly getting captured or walking into my shots" but if thats happening to you its entirely youre fault. the game gives you the opportunity to have her hide before most combat encounters. theres only like 3 or 4 sections where you actually have to actively keep enemies off of her

Just finished RE4R and had zero issues with Ashley. I honestly have no clue why some people find her annoying. She was a great character from a writing pov and not annoying from a gameplay pov. I had more fun with the game when she was around tbh.
