I mostly agree. my only quibble is that most indie bands don't have the resources to hire digital marketing firms to create fake accounts to push their music and flood social media with positive comments and posts. I do think Geese is good, but they got a privileged bump that most bands wouldn't.

I shows just how harmful socials and specifically Tik Tok has become. It’s not marketing if it’s a click farm or traffic driven by bot accounts. Their music does suck, but the surrounding apparatus supporting them is more to blame.
