HOW TO SEE YOUR DISNEY CRUISE PORT ADVENTURE OPTIONS BEFORE YOUR ACTIVITY BOOKING WINDOW OPENS Feel free to share this with your cruise Facebook group to help your fellow cruisers in their planning. I know this can cause stress especially in new cruisers or for people who are going to new ports, so this will give you a good idea of what’s potentially available, help you budget, etc. Super easy to see by visiting the DCL website. Go under DESTINATIONS. Select your PORT. And click LEARN MORE under PORT ADVENTURES. There are even filters based on price, accessibility considerations, etc. A few IMPORTANT things to note: 1. Just because you see an option on this list doesn’t guarantee that it will be offered on your cruise. Disney works with local vendors, so their availability will vary. 2. You do not have to do a Port Adventure through Disney. You can book things on your own (we ask our travel agent for private excursion options all the time), you can decide day of to book through a local vendor at the port, or choose to stay on the ship. Excursions are optional. Don’t feel pressure to do them at every point. And yes, we have done many excursions through third-parties and explored on our own. Pay attention to your surroundings and have street smarts just like you would have home. 3. If what you want is booked, do not stress. People cancel things all the time. You can keep checking the app, visit the Port Adventures Desk once onboard, or do your own thing. 4. I learned this from Megan Farwell! When you go to book an excursion that allows children under a certain age to participate for $0.00, but the DCL app shows them grayed out/you can’t select them - do not stress! If the kiddo is free, the app will not allow you to select their name in the drop down because they won’t be charged; not because they can’t go. 5. You aren’t charged for these when you book them during your activity booking window, but if you want to cancel make sure you do it with the cancellation window in mind. Hope this helps!
