i always start with a cardboard base for my structure under the paper mache. your liquid should be part flour glue and water btw!! glue helps it stick 10× better and hardens the structure making it less likely to break or dent. make sure you dip your paper and pinch and wipe off the excess with your fingers (IMPORTANT BC IF ITS TOO WET ITLL FALL APART!!)
