My best friend has no children. She is my village. She’s BUSY. Runs a business, travels, she’s deeply involved in her community and invests her TIME and energy into everyone in her circle. I can’t imagine saying she isn’t tired and has endless time. 🥺 She’s up at 6am driving to my kids soccer games an hour away. And that’s a small example on how she shows up in our lives. We are tired in different ways. ❤️

Everyone’s tired. Everyone’s going through something. And comparing exhaustion? It’s not a competition. Being a parent is hard, no one is denying that. But not having kids doesn’t mean life is easy, quiet, or stress-free.

Recognizing childless friends have so much "freedom" while expecting them to give said freedom up to help you with your kids. This pisses me off, be a village for your village too.

I honestly started to speak up more when people make comments like this. Like ..it’s not a competition. I have also noticed that in conversation they wouldn’t bother to ask ANYTHING about what I had going on

yeah, not everything has to be said. i empathize. but its your kid, you chose to have them, you have to raise them. your lack of planning isnt my problem. i am childfree because i understood how tough it is 😅🙈

I’ll never forget the time I said I was just so tired (I didn’t have kids at the time) and my friend said “you don’t even know what tired is” and that moment was when I decided I would never ever do that to anyone once I had children. There is just no comparison. And yes it lacks consideration and maturity if I’m being honest.

My friends own businesses , work government jobs and in corporate. They don’t even have to tell me they’re tired I can always feel it through the phone or on FaceTime. I ask them all the time when we both have time to talk “ How are you mentally and physical? Because I know life crazy life can get sometimes . The same way they showed for me at the hospital and during my pregnancy is the same way I show up for them mentally & physically.

I think people also equate success to having free time which makes no sense, it takes so much time & effort to be booked and busy, to actually maintain that same success 😭

I used to work where holidays were mandatory. Some people thought people without children should work the holidays. I have a child and thought that was so crazy. When it was mentioned around me I would quickly say, that’s not fair and because someone doesn’t have children doesn’t mean they don’t have a family to celebrate with.

I have four younger siblings. I'm tired of raising kids. This is MY time now, and I'm busy doing stuff I want to do. I remember that video though and it irritated me lol

The first time I bawled my eyes out due to sheer exhaustion wasn’t when I became a mom. It was when I was 19, battling physical health and mental health issues on top of working full time and going to school full time. I was living on my own too so I was GRINDING! Everybody gets tired. Everybody deserves sympathy.
