Electricity is so high because half the money does in the governments pockets as tax, another quarter in giving companies like Eon, British Gas etc, their bosses pay rises and because we purposely don’t create our own and buy from the most expensive places to not buy off Russia (even though where we do buy from gets it from Russian and essentially middleman’s it)
