I run extended stay and we let people skip housekeeping by my housekeeping manager still has to enter the room to make sure it’s ok!

As a hotel staff member…. I honestly don’t understand how someone could do this. But it’s why most of us take up to $200 in deposit. Especially if you’re paying cash

What if I am a clean person (because I am and take cleaning stuff on vacation with me, even my own vacuum) and I dont want you to clean? Can you not inspect to verify and leave me be?

I love that you guys clean im from Canada and visited Detroit 4 times and stayed a week each time I ask for housekeeping and they tell me govto desk get sheets and towels clean my own room I've been a house keeper 40 years and go in everyday to clean uess they don't want service for a day i was shocked no service

I was a housekeeping supervisor and now a front desk. both for Hilton brand one economy one extended stay and we do stayovers every 2 days and a wellness check every 7 days
