Honestly I’ve had both, I’d pick chickens every time. Chickens are social and will spend time with you, my quail were always scared of me, even the ones I raised from an egg. They’re so much more flighty

I have both, with poop cleanup I think chickens are much better. quails stink up their coop really fast!!

We aren’t allowed to have chickens where I like so Quail are my workaround. Would I prefer chickens. Yes! My quail couldn’t care less about me unless I have mealworms or refilling their food container.

My chicken WONT lay her eggs in the nesting box! She sits in it for hours, and as soon as she’s about a lay an egg, she jumps out and lays it on the ground anywhere in the yard. WHAT CAN I DO???

My quail love treats and will fly at me if I don’t disperse them fast enough. I thought it would be fun feeding them out of my hand. But stopped that because they would peck at my hands while I gathered eggs.
