I worked w a plastic surgeon who stopped buying plastic forks for the office bc of “budget cuts.” He literally printed out a piece of paper explaining that the office will no longer be paying for employees plastic utensils and posted it in the break room. I bought a big pack of plastic utensils from Costco with my own money to share with my coworkers. He came in the break room with a plastic ziplock bag &filled it with the forks to take inside of his office for “when he forgets to bring his own fork.” I’m sure he never thought about it again, but in my mind it cemented who he is as a person.
