@ajsaxsma: Most writers don’t struggle with ideas, they struggle with where to start. If you’ve ever felt stuck between projects or bored with your current work in progress, it’s usually because you’re building from the surface instead of from the belief underneath it. This is where character development, story conflict, and plot actually come from. Not outlines. Not inspiration. Ohhh man this took me on a little trip. I thought for a second, there is no opposite, then I realized there is. A character who absolutely believes they are in the world for a reason, that they were put exactly where they are meant to be and it all means something important. Which would be so fun to break.
