(spoilers mistborn book 1) so for example in mistborn the final empire the end of act 1 would be when kelsier shows his crew the plan to actually overthrow the lord ruler and when the action starts right? and the end of act 2 and start of 3 would maybe be the death of kelsier or the lord ruler?

I’ve been trying to be a plotter but my brain can’t seem to wrap around it. My story is constantly changing as I write towards the ending, so I’ve started embracing the unknown and letting the story tell itself to me which results in good days and bad days lol

The thing is, in a pantser down to my core, but I always try really REALLY hard to be a plotter, which means I have an obsessive understanding of the big set pieces of my story, but none at all for the narrative connective tissue😅 That said, in my current writing project, I just finished putting together a chapter breakdown the other day and just started writing the first draft, which I'm very proud of myself for!

If you know you’re hoping to write a series or multiple books do you think it’s worth also having a loose “plot” for that overall idea? Or focus on each book as it comes and work from the ending of each book as it comes?
