he absolutely is on the mount rushmore of live action villains alongside vader, the joker and one more ambiguous spot. one of the best live action villains we’ve seen in a longggg time. savor it people, this is the type stuff that will be talked about years from now and paid homage to in future projects. excellent writing, excellent portrayal by antony starr, i have to admit he is cementing himself amongst a select few greats to be immortalized along with his character. i just cannot not see Homelander when i look at him. and for him to already have the decorated career he had before this, IMO all things considered, this is his magnum opus. live action homelander is the best evil superman trope we’ve seen to date and Mr. Starr deserves his credit for embodying his character to a tee. everyone loves to underestimate the fragility of the human mind

Homelander was absolute perfection before season 5,I mean I know it should be going like this since they want to make him crazy for the sake of the finale,but he was reasonable and misunderstood,he killed noir because he was already a dead man to solider boy,and he couldn’t fight his father but why ATrain? He could’ve forgave him and just fight butcher and starlight and just if he wouldn’t stop kill him,but let’s say he doesn’t like snakes but Ryan? I mean they destroyed homelanders characther with that,they showed all this seasons that he kinda cared for him and always try to make it better,after slamming him on the floor 3 times there was no need to punch him unconscious,and even than why did he left him there for butcher to find? That’s disgusting I always liked to look at Homelander as the misunderstood hero but they’re destroying him,not only with his wired stuff (he was already known for that) but his crash outs are not smart at all,and what’s up with him just defrosting soldier boy to send him to Butcher,like wtf did he think would happen,ofc he hates him now. The season is absolutely great but I don’t like at all what they changed Homelander into
