It would’ve changed a lot tho. I wanna say Aegon wouldn’t have married as early although I assume Alicent made the arrangement with Helaena to secure her bloodline even further. But I’m also guessing she also did it to argue that Aegons children were trueborn Targaryens. Because she didn’t marry any of her other children. If he hadn’t married Helaena he probably wouldn’t have married a Targaryen and the claims that Rhaenyras children were bastards would’ve been weaker. So if were considering that and whether Aegon even would’ve had children at the time, those children would be about as legitimate as Luke and Jace, even less considering Jace and Luke were recognised by the King. But I don’t think he would’ve cause, once again, the arrangement with Helaena was only good since it made their children “better” than Rhaenyras. So if that wasn’t an option chances are Aegon wouldn’t have been married at the time (he was only 21ish and since he wasn’t considered an heir until Viserys died marriage wasn’t a priority). Which I think, logically and outside of a book plot perspective, would’ve been the case. And then when Luke was killed Alicent would’ve been forced to make some kind of apology to Rhaenyra. And I think that would’ve been the downfall of team green. But Alicent could’ve also tried to marry Aegon to one of Rhaenys granddaughters which is a whole other rant (sorry if it was messy, English isn’t my first language)
